The summer is a season for staying active and having a good time. But between the heat, bugs, and sunburn, outdoor opportunities can come at a cost.

This summer, Johns Creek is hosting tons of indoor and late evening activities, treats, and musical delights destined to entertain and rejuvenate without too much unnecessary sweating.

Between art classes, local brews, gourmet ice cream, and a series of summer concerts, Johns Creek has something for everybody.

The only question you have to answer is: where to start?

Where’s the Scoop? – Gourmet Ice Cream

Ice cream is the classic summer remedy, the cure for what ails the sun-kissed. Thai-inspired rolled ice cream is bound to become your new favorite at Where’s the Scoop? in Johns Creek.

Made from scratch daily and served alongside gooey bubble tea or expertly brewed coffee, the rolled ice cream at Where’s the Scoop? truly earns the distinction “gourmet.”

Serving tightly coiled rolls of ice cream topped in fresh fruit, chocolate shards, sprinkles, and just about everything in between, Where’s the Scoop? is as much a summertime experience as summertime indulgence.

Johns Creek Art Center – Classes for the Creatively Inclined

Nothing commemorates a summer well-spent quite like a handmade, personally invented memento. The Johns Creek Art Center gives you everything you need to expand your talents and flex your creative muscles.

Offering classes for adults and children alike, the Art Center can guide your individual summer spirit through oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting along with colored pencil sketches and pencil drawings.

Johns Creek Summer Concert Series

The sound of summer is grateful and easy, as roiling and melodic as the season itself. This summer, you can make new musical memories with the Johns Creek summer concert series at the Mark Burkhalter Park Amphitheater.
Aside from the open-air amphitheater, eager attendees can spread out a blanket, unfold a chair, and visit any one of the local vendors for a cold drink or hot meal. Beer and wine are served on site, and the terraced lawn serves as natural auditorium seating. Billboard and top-40 singer-songwriter Edwin McCain takes to the stage on August 3rd, while TRIBUTE plays the best of the Allman Brothers and Eric Clapton on September 7th.

The Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra closes out the series in elegant fashion on October 5th, so there’s still plenty of time to grab the lawn chairs and head down to the park.
