Homeschool Field Trip

The Johns Creek Convention and Visitors Bureau is excited to have you join us at the Digital Learners/Homeschool Field Trip all around Johns Creek, GA on Friday, March 19th.

We have sessions on fishing, art in nature and the game of cricket at Shakerag Park, and we invite you to attend one, two, three or all four sessions, as your schedule allows.

These programs are geared towards elementary-age students, and older and younger siblings are welcome. The maximum capacity at each session is 15 students, including siblings, PreK and up. When you register, please include all children who will be in active attendance and participating, PreK and up. Some sessions have hands-on learning opportunities, and we want to be sure to have enough materials available, as well as abide by proper physical distancing protocols.

Masks are highly recommended and physical distancing will be encouraged.

Please complete this form to register your child(ren) for the Johns Creek Digital Learners/Homeschool Field Trip sessions scheduled throughout the day on Friday, March 19th. There is no fee for the session unless otherwise noted, and some sessions may require materials brought from home. (The fishing session requires a fishing pole and bait per student or household, if sharing.)

Upon registration, and based on confirmed attendance numbers, you will receive a confirmation email.

10am-10:45am Fishing in Johns Creek
Join a representative of the Johns Creek Parks and Rec Department for pointers on how the catch the Big One in the stocked fishing pond at Shakerag Park! Please bring your own fishing pole and bait!

11:00am-11:45am Art in Nature
Take a nature walk with the Johns Creek Arts Center and notice all of the great things to observe and draw. JCAC will provide sketchbooks and stickers for each student.

11:45am-1:00pm LUNCH BREAK *Please enjoy one of the many great restaurants in Johns Creek or pack a picnic to enjoy at one of our many beautiful parks*

1:00pm-2:45pm Come and learn to play Cricket with Johns Creek Cricket Association
Cricket is the second most played sport in the World after Soccer. The sport of Cricket is a bat
and ball game, just like Baseball. The history of Cricket predates the sport of Baseball in the
United States. You will enjoy learning the rules of the game and have the opportunity play
Cricket. It will be lots of fun. Watch the included video for more information!

Please fill out the information below to register for the session(s) you would like to attend. You will receive a confirmation email with the sessions you are able to attend based on capacity.

There is a maximum capacity of 15 students, including PreK and up siblings. Once the maximum capacity has been reached, a waiting list will be started, and you will be notified if a space opens up in your session of interest.
