Adopt -A – Stream: Bacteria Monitoring

Join us for a hands-on training workshop on stream water sampling and bacterial testing techniques.The Bacterial Monitoring Workshop will teach volunteers how to monitor Escherichia coli levels in their adopted waterway. E. coli is an indicator organism that is often used to assess the water quality. This workshop will focus on the proper collection of a water sample; transfer of sample onto plates that will be incubated and proper interpretation of results.
This training is open to participants 11 years old and up. However, participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult registrant.

Free for Autrey Mill Members or $5 for all other participants.

-In the event of rain, all outdoor activities can be conducted inside or under a pavilion cover.
