Johns Creek Digital Learner/Homeschool Field Trip

The Johns Creek Convention and Visitors Bureau is excited to invite you to join us at the Digital Learners/Homeschool Field Trip all around Johns Creek, GA on Friday, November 13th.

We have sessions on history, civil service, culture and art at various locations in Newtown Park, and we invite you to attend one, two, three or all four sessions, as your schedule allows.

These programs are geared towards elementary-age students, and older and younger siblings are welcome. The maximum capacity at each session is 15 students, including siblings, PreK and up. When you register, please include all children who will be in active attendance and participating, PreK and up. Some sessions have hands-on learning opportunities, and we want to be sure to have enough materials available, as well as abide by proper physical distancing protocols.

Masks are highly recommended and physical distancing will be encouraged.

Please complete this form to register your child(ren) for the Johns Creek Digital Learners/Homeschool Field Trip sessions scheduled throughout the day on Friday, November 13th. There is no fee for the session unless otherwise noted. (The 2pm Crafts Session has a $5 fee per child to cover materials expenses.)

Upon registration, and based on confirmed attendance numbers, you will receive a confirmation email.

10am-10:45am Veteran’s Memorial Walk and The Wall That Heals at Newtown Park
Learn about the sacrifice of American soldiers that is represented at each monument at the Veteran’s Memorial Walk and The Wall That Heals from the Johns Creek Veterans Association. The Wall That Heals is a replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington DC with over 58,000 names of those who fought for our great country.

11:00am-11:45am Let’s Chat with a Johns Creek Policeman and Fireman at Newtown Park
Ever wonder what it’s like to be a First Responder in Johns Creek? How good are Firemen really at cooking? Where do they learn to wash the fire trucks so well? Do Police Officers really love donuts? Well now’s your opportunity to ask these First Responders these questions and more!

11:45am-1:00pm LUNCH BREAK *Please enjoy one of the many great restaurants in Johns Creek or pack a picnic to enjoy at one of our many beautiful parks*

A – The Holidays in Johns Creek at the Patio at Park Place, Newtown Park presented by Johns Creek Historical Society
The holiday season is upon us, and Johns Creek is gearing up for the festivities! Please join the Johns Creek Historical Society and members of our community to learn about the rich traditions of Christmas, Diwali, and Hanukkah.

B- Veteran’s Memorial Walk and The Wall That Heals at Newtown Park

2:00pm-2:45pm Holiday Crafts with Johns Creek Arts Center at the Patio at Park Place, Newtown Park
Johns Creek Arts Center will provide the materials and guidance for 3 awesome art projects to represent several of the holidays celebrated in Johns Creek.
NOTE: Fee of $5.00 per child to cover the cost of supplies, cash only, payable upon arrival

There is a maximum capacity of 15 students, including PreK and up siblings. Once the maximum capacity has been reached, a waiting list will be started, and you will be notified if a space opens up in your session of interest.
