Authentic pizza is a very simple dish. But eating pizza in Naples, Italy, is a sublime experience. The crust is made from special, finely milled flour, active yeast and pristine water that bakes up tender and light. The tomato sauce is made from San Marzano tomatoes (only grown around Italyʼs Mount Vesuvius), fresh garlic and extra virgin olive oil; it is redolent with the flavors of southern Italy. The buffalo mozzarella is made from the milk of water buffalos and adds a unique, savory tang. Itala pizza imports San Marzano tomatoes, artisanal buffalo mozzarella and ʻ00ʼ flour from Italy weekly. We even had our wood-fired ovens custom made in Naples.
They are made from volcanic sand and can reach temperatures over 1,200º. We want you to enjoy the same pizza here in America that you would in Italy ~ an authentic Napoletana pizza. Buon Appetito!
